|3 Brits shot in Ibiza gun fight
|A SHOOTOUT by rival British drug gangs brought terror to party island Ibiza yesterday.
Holidaymakers fled in panic as bullets flew in the tourist hotspot of San Antonio.
One Briton blasted in the chest was fighting for life in intensive care. Two others needed hospital treatment.
Police arrested eight Brits and were last night probing links to the islandís seedy drugs underworld.
The shoot-out happened at 1am just yards from superclub Manumissionís beachside dance venue Bar M, which was packed with young holidaymakers.
Top bands like the Kaiser Chiefs and Babyshambles have performed there Ė with Kasabian due on stage soon.
Favourite nightclubs Es Paradis and Eden are also nearby.
One holidaymaker said: "It was mayhem, like a scene from a movie. Two cars full of people were shooting at each other near to the main strip of bars by the sea.
"Everybody was running and screaming. I kept my head down and got out of there before the police arrived."
At least 20 bullets were fired as a group of gangsters in a BMW X5 4x4 exchanged fire with another gang in a Seat Leon.
"They were shooting with no regard for tourists and passers-by," said police.
Officers said they believed the seafront gunfight was between rival drug dealers selling cocaine and ecstasy to British clubbers.
Two wounded Brits were rushed to hospital at Ibiza town 17 miles away.
"One man underwent emergency surgery to remove a bullet lodged in his chest," said a hospital spokesman. "He is now in intensive care in a very serious condition.
"The other had superficial bullet wounds and was discharged and taken away by the police."
The third Brit was taken to a clinic where he was also being treated for a superficial gunshot wound.
