Robbies Shaggy lessons
05/11/05
WHEN charm, charisma and good looks dont bag the gal of your dreams, whats a guy to do? That was Robbie Williams dilemma as he faced another career high alone, without the partner he desperately craves.

So, after a fraught night in the plush Four Seasons hotel in Lisbon ahead of the MTV Awards, he decided to take action.
Our Rob, 31, had been complaining to friends about his dead-in-the-water love life.

But we can reveal that only minutes before joking to the press that he was crap in bed, he was asking for help from Mr Loverman himself.

Yes, Rob turned to 37-year-old rap sensation Shaggy - known to his nearest and dearest as Orville Richard Burrell - for tips on bagging the lady of his dreams. And the ex-Marine amazingly told the Robster - who wowed crowds with a fab rendition of his new single Tripping - that he needs to be more confident.

Our source told us: "Rob made a beeline for Shaggy and told him he thought he was the nuts when it came to smooth-talking the ladies.

"Shaggy just laughed initially because Robbie is clearly such a hit with women. But Rob said his superstar persona doesnt always translate to his personal life. Shaggy said Rob should be more confident and told him, Assume every woman wants you and they probably will."

In Robbies case that is probably true. But the down-to-earth star doesnt seem to realise it. He told pals over drinks on Wednesday night about his hopes of furthering a relationship with a girl he met in New York.

And he complained he fears his dream of becoming a dad soon could be slipping away. Our mole explained: "Like anyone, Rob would just like someone to share his life with and yes, hed like to be a dad."

Hopefully, the Shaggy treatment will help. We hear Shaggy also gave the ex-Take That star a few tips that cant be revealed in a family newspaper.

"Shaggy definitely made Rob blush," our mole added.
How odd - thats rather the same effect he has on us...
